Mark Peters knows the residents of Fredericton and knows the city well. He currently works for Gordon Food Service, as a sales representative in Fredericton and along with his cousin, is co-owner of Dutch Co, which represents Mitchell’s Soup Company in the Atlantic provinces.
This is Coun. Peters second term on City Council having been first elected to represent the constituents of Ward 2 in May 2016 and re-elected in May 2021. During his first term on City Council he served as Vice Chair of the Livable Community Committee, as well as a member of the Economic Vitality Committee, Planning Advisory Committee, and Governance & Civic Engagement Committee.
Coun. Peters is a committed volunteer with the Leo Hayes Lions boys’ hockey team; something he has done since 2016, helping on the coaching staff. He lives in Ward 2 with his Golden Retriever named Finn.
