WOW, Fredericton did not disappoint! You filled Willie O’Ree Place with an energy of excitement and giving!
Thank you for coming out to support @Greener Village and cheer for Fredericton’s finest and bravest at Saturday’s 10th annual Guns & Hoses hockey game.
Fredericton’s community generously donated $3,859 in cash along with 1707 lbs of food bringing a total value of donations to $9300 in the fight against hunger. #FrederictonKind
Both teams played a great game, with Fredericton’s firefighters making a huge comeback in the third period! The game ended in a 5-4 victory for the @Fredericton Police Force. We thank the Fredericton Fire Department for bringing their A-game to the ice!
Both teams would like to thank the following sponsors:
- Higgins Insurance for their prize donation to the frisbee toss
- Bella Properties for providing gift certificates to local area restaurants
- Harrison Gilks Legacy Fund for sponsoring the U9 hockey team’s pizza party
- Nashwaaksis Y's Men Club for donating their collected tips to the Greener Village
- MADD Greater Fredericton for hosting an Impaired driving awareness booth
- Volunteers, without whom the 50/50 draw, frisbee toss & donation booths wouldn’t have been possible
Chiefs Challenge update! Fire Chief, Dwayne Killingbeck, looks dapper as he dons the FPF forage cap and jersey. Maybe your next career opportunity, Chief Killingbeck?!
Plans are already underway for the 2025 Guns & Hoses face-off! We look forward to seeing you there!
