Charges to be laid following execution of warrant - Dundonald Street

On January 25, 2022, the Fredericton Police Drugs and Organized Crime Unit executed a CDSA warrant on a residence in the 300-block of Dundonald Street, as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

A prohibited firearm, cash, and a variety of suspected drugs were seized, including methamphetamine and cocaine, with the approximate street value of over $24,200.

The Fredericton Police Emergency Response Team, Tactical Emergency Medical Services, and Patrol officers assisted with the investigation.

49-year-old Shawn Kenneth Flemming, of Fredericton, was arrested, and appeared in court this afternoon on the following charges:

  • possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition
  • unsafe storage of a firearm
  • possession contrary to order
  • possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • proceeds of crime
  • CDSA - possession of CDSA (schedule I) for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • CDSA - possession of CDSA (schedule I) for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
  • CDSA - possession of CDSA (schedule I) for the purpose of trafficking – hydromorphone
  • CDSA - possession of CDSA (schedule IV) for the purpose of trafficking – clonazepam

Mr. Flemming was held in custody and will appear in court again on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 1:30 p.m.
