Charges to be laid following execution of warrants

On the morning of October 29, 2021, the Fredericton Police Drugs and Organized Crime Unit, assisted by Patrols and Support Services, executed three CDSA warrants in an apartment building on Carmen Avenue, and on a vehicle, both in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Weapons, cash and a variety of suspected drugs were seized. 

A 46-year-old Fredericton man was arrested, and faces the following charges:

  • Possession of a prohibited weapon
  • Proceeds obtained by crime
  • CDSA - possession of CDSA (schedule I) for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
  • CDSA - possession of CDSA (schedule I) for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
  • CDSA - possession of CDSA (schedule I) for the purpose of trafficking - hydromorphone

He was held on a parole breach and will appear in court on Fredericton Police charges on December 31, 2021.
