Fredericton Police, along with public safety partners continue to monitor the ongoing protest in Fredericton. Our primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of everyone, while permitting peaceful protest activity.

We are pleased to report that events remained peaceful throughout the day, with a small number of individuals remaining at the protest site.

One Emergency Measures Act ticket (appearance notice) was issued related to events that occurred yesterday.

There will be continued law enforcement presence near the site during overnight hours. Officers are present to mitigate any risk to public safety, and please continue to report any suspicious, concerning or criminal activity.

Updates will be provided on traffic disruptions & road closures as necessary.

Large vehicle traffic will continue to be monitored to reduce the impact on transportation routes and minimize disruption in the downtown in anticipation of the work week.

Thank you for your ongoing cooperation.
