Fredericton Police Force's Integrated Enforcement Unit Arrests Male in Drug Trafficking Investigation

Fredericton (N.B.) – In June 2024, members of the Fredericton Police Force’s Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU) initiated an investigation into drug trafficking at a location on the City’s Northside.

On July 18, 2024, the Fredericton IEU, with support from the Emergency Response Team and Patrols, executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act Search Warrant on Jaffrey Street. Upon execution of the warrant, officers discovered various controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. A variety of loaded and unloaded illegal firearms were also seized.

Ryan LeBlanc, age 40, of Fredericton, was arrested as part of this investigation. LeBlanc appeared in court and was charged with the following:

 

•    S. 4(1) CDSA - Possession of methamphetamine
•    S. 5(2) CDSA - Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
•    S. 5(2) CDSA - Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
•    S. 56.1(1) C.C Possession of Identity Document
•    S. 86(1) C.C - Careless storage of firearm
•    S. 88(1) C.C - Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
•    S. 95(1) C.C - Possession of prohibited firearm with ammunition
•    S. 96(1) C.C - Possession of weapon obtained by commission of an offence
•    S. 117.01(1) C.C - Possession Contrary to Order x 4
•    S. 354(1)(a) C.C - Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000
•    S. 733.1(1)(a) C.C - Breach of Probation

The following drugs were seized:

•    Methamphetamine
•    Cocaine
•    Xanax
•    Morphine
•    Methamphetamine
•    Fentanyl

LeBlanc is set to appear in court again on Aug. 7, 2024.
