Fredericton, N.B. – Fredericton Police have arrested a 49-year-old man in connection with a fire that occurred on the evening of October 29, 2024, on Queen Street.
The arrest was made without incident.
The Fredericton Fire Department reported that all four stations responded to a report of smoke coming from a building on the 200 block of Queen Street. Upon arrival, firefighters observed smoke billowing from several areas of the building at 228 Queen Street.
The fire was primarily contained to the rear storage section and the roof of the middle section of the building, though there is smoke damage throughout the premises.
No injuries were reported.
The individual arrested will remain in custody until he appears before a judge to face charges.
