Fredericton Police arrest two; seize drugs and currency

Fredericton (NB) - On September 22, 2023, members of the Fredericton Police Force’s Drugs unit, along with the Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU), arrested a 46-year-old male and a 26-year-old female. After a vehicle stop on Fredericton’s north side, the pair were arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking. Upon arrest officers located and seized a quantity of methamphetamine and cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and Canadian currency.

The following charges are pending: 

46-year-old male – 

Section 5(2) CDSA - Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
Section 5(2) CDSA - Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine 
Section 345(1) MVA of NB - Driving While Suspended

26-year-old female – 

Section 5(2) CDSA - Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
 
The two were released on conditions with a future court date for the above charges.
