FREDERICTON, NB — The Fredericton Police Force (FPF) would like to express our deepest appreciation to the University of New Brunswick (UNB) and Engineering Operations (City of Fredericton) for the proactive and coordinated response to expected gatherings in and around the College Hill area this past weekend.

Although more than 1,000 people gathered in the College Hill area on Saturday night, early communication and visibility reasonably contributed to fewer than 20 service calls, 10 associated Bylaw tickets (4 loud party – 4 fighting – 1 public urination – 1 littering), and 4 Liquor Control Act tickets. We also advise that there were 2 arrests made under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act (IPDA).

We would like to extend our thanks to the public as well for their patience and support. It is through this collective effort that we may all contribute to the safety and well-being of our community.
