Fredericton Police Force is seeking public assistance for active file

Fredericton Police Force is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the person depicted in the posted photo.

On September 10th, 2023, at approximately 2:51pm, the Fredericton Police Force responded to a hit and run collision at the intersection of Pine and Union on the City's north side involving a vehicle and a red 2014 Honda CRF 250 dirt bike, bearing plate number XY0386. The driver of the dirt bike, believed to be male, failed to remain at the scene of the accident and fled on foot using the nearby trail system.  The driver may have kept his helmet on as he fled the scene or may have removed it at some point.

Investigators believe that after the collision, members of the public may have seen this person in the area and may have observed where he went.  If you have any information, please contact the FPF at 506-460-2300, e-mail brandan.goodyear@fredericton.ca or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, to remain anonymous.

Investigators are asking the driver of the dirt bike to do the right thing and come forward to Police. 

The Fredericton Police Force would like to remind the public that failure to remain at the scene of an accident can constitute a criminal offence.
