Fredericton Police seize close to $80,000 in drugs and equipment

On June 5, 2024, at approximately 7:00 a.m., Fredericton Police Patrols responded to a call for service on Leafwood Cres. where they discovered drugs, cash, equipment, and weapons, with an estimated street value of nearly $80,000.  The Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU), assisted in the investigation where the following was seized: 

•    Fentanyl 
•    Methamphetamine
•    Hydromorph
•    Cocaine
•    Psilocybin

Also seized were cash, bear mace, scales and other equipment.  

A 35-year-old male from Hoyt, who cannot be named until all the charges are laid in court, was arrested on the following charges:

•    Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - s.5(2) CDSA x2
•    Possession of a weapon - s. 88(2)(b) CCC
•    Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime - s. 355(b) CCC

The suspect was released on conditions pending a future court appearance. 

The file remains under investigation.
