On June 1st, 2022, the Fredericton Police Drugs and Organized Crime Unit executed a CDSA warrant on a vehicle in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Approximately $47,801.00 worth of schedule I drugs were seized.
A 38-year old man and a 27-year old man, both from Fredericton, have been arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking. One male was released on an Appearance Notice for Possession of CDSA (Schedule I)- methamphetamine with a court date for August 2nd, 2022. The other male, David John Burlet, was charged with the following:
- CDSA - possession of CDSA (schedule I) for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
- CDSA - possession of CDSA (schedule I) for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
- CDSA - possession of CDSA (schedule I) for the purpose of trafficking - hydromorphone
- CDSA - possession of CDSA (schedule I) for the purpose of trafficking - MDMA
- CDSA - possession of CDSA (schedule I) for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl
- Proceeds obtained by crime under $5,000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000
Burlet was held in custody and will return to court on Monday, June 6th, 2022 at 9:30 a.m.
