On Wednesday, September 11th at approximately 7:50p.m., members of the Fredericton Police Force Patrol division responded to the Regent Mall after receiving a report of an assault involving a weapon in progress.
Upon arrival, Patrol members were advised that the suspects had departed the scene. The suspects involved were identified by officers based on statements collected from victims and witnesses.
One male and one female youth were arrested a short time later by the patrol response division. At the time of their arrest a weapon, a knife, and quantity of drugs were seized. The third suspect youth was later apprehended on the city's Northside with the assistance of the Force’s Emergency Response Team.
The female youth has been released unconditionally. Both male youths have been remanded pending a court appearance.
