Police investigating robbery with a weapon

Shortly after 12:30pm today, August 26, 2021, Fredericton Police responded to a business in the area of Fulton Avenue and Main Street on the city’s northside, for reports of a robbery with a weapon.

The suspect left the scene prior to police arrival.

A significant number of officers responded, provided containment, and Police Service Dog Brutus was called out to perform a track/search of the area, including the trail system.

At this time, police have cleared the immediate scene, but investigators continue to follow-up, and we are releasing the following details in efforts to identify the person responsible.

The suspect is male, with a light complexion, approximately 5’10” and between 250-300lbs. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a red hoodie, with a dark coloured shirt underneath, khaki shorts, black compression socks up to his knees, and black and white sneakers.
