Police release further detail in cyclist fatality

On Sat. Sept. 9, members of Fredericton Police Force patrol division, responded to a 911 call of a single vehicle accident involving a bicycle, at the intersection of Westmorland and King Streets. 
One adult male was transported to the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries, and later died as a result of his injuries. 

The male has been identified as Frederick Nowlan, age 66, of Fredericton. 

The matter is still under investigation, but at this time, no charges have been laid. The incident was witnessed by many civilians and was also captured on the City’s public safety cameras. 

Our thoughts are with Mr. Nowlan’s family and friends, as well as the others involved in the collision.
