Police Respond to Shooting Incident

The Fredericton Police Force is currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of October 5, 2018, sending one man to hospital.

At approximately 4:25 a.m., the Fredericton Police responded to a call regarding a shooting incident at a home on the city’s Northside. Police located a 47-year old male victim, who was suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. 

A short time later a 56-year old male suspect was arrested, without incident, on an adjacent property.

The Emergency Response Team, and Police Service Dog, and Forensic Identification responded to assist the Primary Response Team, and the Major Crime Team is continuing the investigation.
