The Fredericton Police Force Major Crime Team is now investigating a homicide in relation to the December 21, 2021 shooting incident. The victim of the shooting, 41-year-old Corey Markey, succumbed to his injuries late last night.
Police continue to work on all leads regarding this file.
Anyone with information about the shooting, or any suspicious activity in the area of Paul Street in the overnight hours of December 20-21,2021, is asked to contact Fredericton Police at 506-460-2300, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
