On Sept. 24, 2022, the Fredericton Police Force conducted a traffic stop on the city’s Southside which lead to the discovery of weapons, arrests and charges.
Jerrod Mansfield, aged 38 of Fredericton and Liliane Ste. Marie, age 19, of Oromocto were arrested and appeared in court on Sept. 29.
The two are charged with the following:
Jerrod Mansfield:
- CC 86(3)(a)(ii) - Unsafe storage contrary to regulations
- CC 88(2)(a) - Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- CC 91(3)(a) - Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- CC 92(3)(b) - Possession of a firearm knowing its unauthorized
- CC 94(2)(a) - Unauthorized possession in a motor vehicle
- CC 96(2)(a) - Possession of a weapon obtained by the commission of an offence
Liliane Ste. Marie:
- CC 86(3)(a)(ii) - Unsafe storage contrary to regulations
- CC 88(2)(a) - Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- CC 91(3)(a) - Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- CC 92(3)(b) - Possession of a firearm knowing its unauthorized
- CC 94(2)(a) - Unauthorized possession in a motor vehicle
- CC 96(2)(a) - Possession of a weapon obtained by the commission of an offence
Both Mansfield and Ste. Marie have been released on house arrest until their next scheduled court date.
