Arrest #1; File 24-4963 

On March 25, 2024, members of the Fredericton Police Force’s Drugs and Organized Crime unit and Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU) assisted by Street Crime and Patrol members, executed a search warrant at a residence on the city’s Northside,  as a result of an ongoing drug investigation.  

Jacob Saunders,  24,  of Fredericton,  was arrested as part of this investigation as well as outstanding warrants of arrest.   

Charges: 

  • Careless Storage of Firearm  
  • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm 

The following items were seized during the investigation: 

  • Digital Triton scale  
  • Drug paraphernalia 
  • Drug packaging 
  • Black 12 gauge shotgun 
  • .22 caliber rifle. 
  • Ammunition 
  • Camo body armor 

Saunders appeared in court on March 26, 2024,  was remanded until March 28, 2024, at which time he was released from custody on conditions with a future court date.  

The investigation in drug trafficking continues. 

Arrest #2; File 24-6575 

On March 27, 2024, the Fredericton Police Force’s (FPF) Drugs and Organized Crime unit and Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU) were investigating drug trafficking in the City which resulted in a traffic stop.  During the stop, members arrested a 44-year-old female for possession for the purpose of trafficking crystal meth.  During the arrest, 52.35 grams of crystal meth (methamphetamine) were seized. 

The following items were seized during the investigation: 

  • Triton digital scale with residue 
  • Drug paraphernalia  
  • Drug packaging 
  • Briday Model 800 Stun gun / Taser 

The female was released on conditions with a future court date.
