Update on Break and Enter Case at Fredericton Public Library

The Fredericton Police Force has made an arrest in connection with the recent break and enter at the Fredericton Public Library. 

Kelly Gordon Kleim, 31, of Fredericton is facing multiple charges:

•    S. 348 (1) (B) (D) - Break and Enter
•    S. 430(3) - Mischief Over $5000
•    S. 334(a) - Theft Over $5000

The incident occurred on Sept. 30, 2024, at the Fredericton Public Library, located at 12 Carleton Street. Responding officers discovered extensive damage to the property, and through investigation, also discovered the theft of several items.

Also, during the course of the investigation, including the review of video footage from community and public safety cameras, police identified Kleim as the suspect. He presented himself to police on Oct. 3, 2024, and was subsequently arrested.

Kleim has been remanded in custody and is scheduled for a court appearance on Oct. 7, 2024.
