Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2000 for information leading to the arrest of Jacob Phillips.

On Nov. 7, 2022, the Fredericton Police Force responded to a call on Riverside Drive where a woman reported having been shot in the leg. The victim was transported to hospital and is in stable condition. Police believe this was not a random act.

A warrant has been issued for Jacob James Phillips, age 21 of Fredericton. 

Phillips is charged with the following: 

  • CC 244(2) - Discharging a firearm with intent
  • CC 88 - Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • CC 268(1) - Aggravated assault
  • CC 145(4)(a) - Breach of an undertaking

Phillips is described as approx. 5’9; 160 lbs., with short, dark hair and a dark goatee.

The Fredericton Police Force’s Major Crime Unit is investigating the file and ask that anyone with information regarding this incident or Phillips' whereabouts contact Det. Jeff Cameron (Jeff.Cameron@Fredericton.ca), call 460-2300, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, to remain anonymous by downloading the secure P3 Mobile App, or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimenb.ca. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $2,000.00 for information leading to the arrest of Jacob Phillips.
