Nothing beats the heat like jumping in the water! The perfect outing during a hot summer day is to one of Fredericton’s outdoor pools, wading pools, indoor pools, or beach. Visit for the exercise or just to splash around with the kids. Options for getting wet are all over the city.

The Fredericton Indoor Pool has something for the whole family. A thrilling water slide; a tarzan rope with recreational 25 meter pool; a 92-degree swirl pool; even a sauna; it’s the place to come to relax, play, and exercise.

Outdoor Pools - The City of Fredericton’s four outdoor swimming pools are now closed for the season.

Fredericton’s outdoor pools offer leisure swims, as well as scheduled aquatic programs and instruction.

Registration for all sessions opens May 1 at 8:30 a.m.

Killarney Lake Beach 

Spot the flag know when to swim

The lifeguarding of the beach at Killarney Lake starts Sunday, June 25 and goes until Saturday September 2, supervision hours are 10am-7pm.

Wilmot Park Splash Pad - is now closed for the season

Splash Pad Rules

  • Hours of operation: 10am to dusk
  • Splash pad is slippery when wet
  • All children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult
  • Roughhousing or unsafe play is prohibited
  • Footwear is recommended
  • Swim suits and / or appropriate attire must be worn at all times
  • Children who wear diapers must wear rubber pants or swim diapers
  • Glass, metal objects, soap and all other materials that would cause hazardous conditions are not permitted

Located near the corner of Woodstock Road and Odell Avenue, this new state of the art outdoor aquatic facility is intended to promote interactive water play for children of all ages

The completed park features multi-activity spray and splash components, designated shallow water areas, barrier-free access, ample seating, sun shades, and an onsite washroom.

The public are reminded to please respect all posted parking signs and regulations, and to use designated crosswalks to access the park.

Kid-sized wading pools are the perfect way for families to cool off. Please note, parents are responsible for their own children at all Fredericton wading pools, as no supervision is provided by staff.
