Paddling
Paddling doesn’t end with summer; fall explodes with colour on the water. Enjoy the serene water of the majestic Wolastoq (Saint John River). Fredericton has many non-motorized boat launches including the Penniac launch (550 River Street), the Marysville Heritage Centre launch (11 McGloin Street) and City View (30 City View Avenue).
Park Hopping
Grab the family for a perfect day at our parks! Paddle at Killarney Lake Park, dare to cold plunge, or enjoy a picnic using the charcoal BBQs. Walk the 400-acre Odell Park filled with 400-year-old trees, play a round of Disc Golf or stroll into the Fredericton Botanic Gardens to see the fall flowers and leaves flourish.
Skate Parks
Grab your bikes, skateboards, scooters, or rollerblades and enjoy Fredericton’s various Skateparks. Be sure to shred at Atlantic Canada’s largest outdoor skatepark the Garrison Skate Park.
Public Art Tour
Get inspired this fall by exploring more than 30 Public Art Pieces in the city. Want to work on your art skills? Check out all the artistic drop-in classes offered at the Fredericton Senior Centre.

The place to be this fall to make connections, learn new skills and have some fun is at the Fredericton Senior Centre. With over 20 senior programs offered this fall, there is something for everyone!
Artist in Residence Exhibition
Throughout the summer we had eight incredible Artists in Residence at Killarney Lake and the Fredericton Botanic Gardens. From September 25 until October 20 head over to their exhibition at the Charlotte Street Arts Center to see what they created this summer!
Disc Golf
Disc Golf is a fun and exciting way to stay active this fall! Grab a group of friends and check out one of the many Disc Golf courses around the city!
Drop in to the Nashwaaksis Fieldhouse
The outdoor Pickleball season is ending, but don’t put away your paddles just yet! The Nashwaaksis Fieldhouse has weekly drop-in hours where you can continue your pickleballing, or try a new court sport like badminton, basketball, or volleyball!
150 km of Trails
Dust off those running shoes and break out the bike helmets. With cool breezy mornings that fade away into warm cozy afternoons, fall is the perfect time to explore over 150 km of trails within the city. Take your camera along and capture the colourful leaves and beautiful river views.
Free Public Skates
Sharpen your blades and practice your skating before the outdoor skating season starts! Public Free Skates occur weekly at our arenas. Always remember your protective gear, skate aids, and leave sports equipment at home!
Fredericton Indoor Pool
Splash into fall with indoor swimming! The Fredericton Indoor Pool offers a variety of aqua fitness classes, adult, senior, and recreational swims, as well as lessons!
