Fredericton City Council created the Anti-Racism Task Force for Fredericton in 2021.
Recommendations
In November 2023, The Task Force provided 14 recommendations to City Council about ways to combat systematic racism and racial discrimination in our community, with the goal of achieving a fully diverse, inclusive, and equitable society.
In July 2024, City Council approved an Action Plan for the 14 Recommendations.
In July 2025, the Office of Community Inclusion presented a one-year progress report on the Anti-Racism Action Plan to City Council.
