Calligraphy Workshop
Join Jimena Castillo for a Calligraphy Workshop on Thursday October 17 and Thursday October 24 from 10:00AM – 11:30AM.

Learn essential techniques, explore various tools and create stunning handwritten pieces. With personalized instruction and hands-on practice, you'll develop your unique calligraphic flair and gain the confidence to bring your written words to life.
Emotional Freedom Technique Workshop
Join Linda Morehouse for the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Introductory Workshop on Saturday, October 19 from 1:00PM - 4:00PM.
EFT is used to reduce stress, improve performance, lessen cravings, and help resolve fears. This introductory workshop will focus on reducing anxiety and cravings.
There is a charge for this program. Participants will receive a digital EFT International handbook upon completion.
Drop in Meditation
We could all use a little more relaxation in our lives, drop-in will be on Mondays, from 2 to 3 pm and learn how to unwind during Drop-In Meditation Hour!
For a $5 fee, instructor Linda Morehouse will lead you through various types of seated meditation and teach you how to get some of the relaxation you deserve! All adults are welcome.
Nordic Walking Workshops
Join us for the beginner Nordic Walking workshops on Tuesday, October 1 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM and Saturday, October 12 from 9:30AM – 11:30AM.
News & Views
Step into a world of lively discussions, insightful reflections, and community connection with the monthly seniors’ program, "News & Views"!
The program is offered in partnership with the Nashwaaksis Public Library and will take place the third Thursday of every month, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
All adults are welcome, the program is FREE, and offered in English only. Join us and take part in an engaging exploration of the latest headlines and current affairs!
Drop in Carpet Bowling
It’s fun, it’s free and they’re friendly!
Come try carpet bowling! Drop-in carpet bowling will be available from 1 to 3 pm every Friday. All adults are welcome—including new bowlers—and equipment and instruction is provided. Don’t forget to wear flat-soled indoor shoes.
Drop in Bridge
If you enjoy Bridge and want more opportunities to play, drop-in will be every Friday morning. Join a fun and casual group of Bridge players—no partners required—from 9:15 to 11:45 am. Participants pay $10 for the season, and players of all levels are welcome!
Make Your Own Garden Figurine Workshop
Join Diana Hetherington for the Make Your Own Garden Figurine Workshop on Saturday, October 5 from 9:00AM – 4:00PM. This is an opportunity to create a fabric sculpture made like no other. Created using nothing but wire, foil, tape and a wet medium! A figurine that is filled with your heart and soul and unique expression! It will be an adventure, and you will leave with a beautifully unique seated figurine you will be proud to display in your garden or in your home.
Introduction to Embroidery
Get your needles ready! Join Cat Candow, who will lead a 4-week Introduction to Embroidery course on Friday’s from 1:00PM – 3:00PM starting October 4. Everyone is welcome to join! Registration opens September 16! There is a fee for this program.
Johnston Ave Book Club
Are you a lover of literature? Then you need to join the Johnston Ave Book Club. This small and relaxed group gets together to discuss selected books and share everything they’re reading on the second Thursday of the month, from 10:00AM - 12:00PM. The program is FREE to join.
Ann's Knitting Circle
Knitters of all levels—beginner to experienced—are invited to join Ann’s Knitting Circle, offered Tuesdays from 1:30PM to 3:00PM, starting September 17. Instructor Ann Belanger-Chedore has the expertise to assist you all! Supplies can be provided for beginners. Come join this friendly group of knitters! Please bring extra supplies to share if you have them!
Board Games and Cards
Good conversation and lasting friendships begin with games like cribbage, dominos, backgammon, checkers, chess, puzzles, colouring, and cards.
So, get playing on Wednesday afternoons from 1 to 4 pm! No experience is necessary. There’s something for everyone, and new games will also be taught most weeks!
Thursday Afternoon Drop-in Knitting Crew
Join our friendly knitters on Thursday afternoons from 1:30-3:00pm.
Engage in lively conversation while working on your newest creation. Individuals doing other small lap crafts like crochet, cross stitch… are also welcome.
Wednesday Walkers
A FREE walking club for all interested adults. This group meets every Wednesday at from May 15 through to October 9, for a one-hour long walk. Walks are held rain or shine.

• All parking is in free public parking lots. Carpooling is always encouraged.
• No pre-registration is required just show-up and join us.
• Please keep your own health in mind when deciding whether to come out. Remember to dress appropriately and bring a water bottle and hat, especially on warmer days.
