Users within the Recreation Service Agreement Area are not required to pay for a Rec Card, as the use of City facilities are covered by their property taxes.
To determine whether you are within the agreement area:
- Navigate to the Recreation Service Agreement Area Map.
- Enter your civic address into the ‘User Search’ field.
- Select your address from the list.
- The map will center on your property. If the property is shaded, you are within the agreement area.
Users outside of the agreement area will need to pay a fee before a Rec Card can be issued. As of April 1, 2018, the following fees apply:
- Ice Sports: $773.00 (plus HST)
- Field Sports: $17.00 (plus HST)
- Outdoor Pool Swim Lessons: $11.00 (plus HST)
- Northside Youth Centre Camps: $17 (plus HST)
Please note that fees must be paid prior to registration for minor and adult sport groups or leagues. For outdoor pool swim lessons, user fees must be paid at the time of registration.
