Kate Hunter is a lifelong Northsider, small business owner and community volunteer.
Kate is passionate about bringing people together through entrepreneurship, events, sports, and volunteerism, creating strong, connected communities where people feel proud to live, work, and raise a family.
She is the founder of the Holly Jolly Holiday Market, one of Atlantic Canada's largest handmade markets, and is actively involved with Rink Rebels, a growing organization dedicated to creating opportunities for girls and women in hockey. Through these initiatives, she has worked with hundreds of small businesses, makers, volunteers, athletes, and community organizations across New Brunswick and beyond.
Hunter is an active volunteer and mentor, including her work with Junior Achievement New Brunswick. She is passionate about supporting local businesses, investing in safe and vibrant neighbourhoods, and ensuring residents have a voice in the decisions that impact their communities.
Counc. Hunter was first elected to Fredericton City Council in 2026.
Kate has lived in Ward 1 for nearly a decade with her husband and their two daughters.
