On Sunday afternoon, September 7, 2025, members of the Fredericton Police Force responded to a sudden death at a residence in downtown Fredericton.
In light of new information, police are now investigating the death as a homicide. The victim has been identified as 42-year-old Sonia Vivian Timbre of Fredericton.
No arrests have been made at this time. Police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident.
Investigators believe this was an isolated incident and want to reassure the public there is no risk to community safety.
