A joint investigation involving the Fredericton Police Force (FPF) and Miramichi Police Force’s Integrated Enforcement Units (IEU) has resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of more than $20,000 worth of illegal drugs on Fredericton’s Northside.
On Friday, September 19, 2025, a targeted operation led to the arrest of a 41-year-old man from Grey Rapids, N.B., and a 48-year-old woman from Miramichi, N.B. Officers seized nearly 110 grams of cocaine, more than 150 grams of methamphetamine, and over $1,300 in cash.
Raymond Wilson Curtis, 41, of Grey Rapids, N.B., has been charged with:
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Schedule I: Cocaine) – Section 5(2), CDSA
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Schedule I: Methamphetamine) – Section 5(2), CDSA
• Possession of Proceeds of Crime – Section 355(a), Criminal Code
Curtis was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court in October.
The woman was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in December, facing the same charges as listed for Curtis.
The New Brunswick IEU is made up of members from the New Brunswick RCMP, as well as municipal police and Justice and Public Safety officers in the province. These efforts aim to improve the coordinated response to the growing concerns of drugs, firearms, and organized crime within New Brunswick.
