Effective December 2, 2025, the Fredericton Police Force will officially become the police of jurisdiction for the recently newly annexed areas of the City of Fredericton.

The change comes after Fredericton’s recent boundary expansion as a result of Local Governance Reform and aims to provide uniform public safety services for all residents.

The new areas include Pepper Creek, Douglas, McLeod Hill, Killarney Road and the Capital Region Landfill on the city’s south side.

Residents and businesses within these communities will now receive a full range of policing services from the Fredericton Police Force, including emergency response, patrols, investigations, and community policing support.

•    Emergency: Continue to dial 911
•    Non-emergency matters: Call 506-460-2300
•    Report a crime online: Report a Crime | City of Fredericton
•    Criminal record checks: Criminal Record Checks | City of Fredericton

Members of the public may also visit the Fredericton Police Force headquarters at 311 Queen Street, Fredericton, for inquiries or assistance.

Although the Fredericton Police will now handle everyday policing duties in these neighbourhoods, cooperation with the NB RCMP will continue through specialized units to ensure public safety.

The Fredericton Police Force remains dedicated to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and strong community through partnerships with residents and local organizations. Your ongoing support, engagement, and vigilance are essential to our shared mission of community safety.
