We’re raising the road to increase future flood resilience along Riverside Drive and replacing water, sanitary and storm sewer infrastructure in the area. This is the second phase of a major infrastructure renewal project that began in 2023.
What to expect:
- A full closure of Riverside Drive from Sumac to Corbett Avenue to through traffic for the duration of construction.
- Sumac Street intersection will remain open, and traffic detoured around Sumac Street, Colwell Drive, Carmen Avenue and Watters Drive.
The benefits:
- Raising the road will keep the roadway open longer – and reopen sooner – during major flooding events.
- Renewed piping will benefit the quality and reliability of water and sewer services in the area.
