City Seeking Interested Volunteers to serve on an Independent Citizen Review Committee to Review the Remuneration of Members of Fredericton City Council for the May 2026 – May 2030 Term

The City of Fredericton is seeking applications from city residents interested in serving on an interim independent review committee to review the remuneration of Members of Fredericton City Council for the May 2026 to May 2030 term.  

The role of the Committee is to review the current remuneration of members of Fredericton City Council, consider market data from comparator municipalities (cities of similar size, population and budget), evaluate time commitment and responsibilities and submit recommendations by April 2, 2026.  

The City endeavours to ensure that the composition of its committees is diverse and reflective of the community while also including knowledge and experience in municipal governance, legislative frameworks and public sector ethics.  

Anyone interested in serving on the Citizen Review Committee is asked to submit a letter and brief résumé, demonstrating their experience in budgeting, fiscal responsibility, data analysis and/or compensation modeling, to the undersigned on or before Friday, February 6, 2026.
