The Fredericton Police Force has charged a 33-year-old Fredericton woman following an arson investigation related to a fire that occurred on January 28, 2026.
At approximately 2:50 a.m. on that date, officers responded to a call for service at the Tim Hortons located on Union Street. In consultation with Fredericton Fire Department investigators, the fire was determined to have been intentionally set, causing damage to the building.
On January 30, 2026, Tiffaney Johnston, 33, was arrested in connection to the incident. She’s been charged with Arson Causing Property Damage.
The investigation was conducted by the Fredericton Police Force’s newly established General Investigation Unit, with support from patrol officers who made the arrest. Johnston was held in custody pending a court appearance.
