Call for nominations: Arts Achievement Awards

Type(s)
City Hall

The City of Fredericton is now accepting nominations for the bi-annual Arts Achievement Awards.

The Arts Achievement Award celebrates achievement, contributions and excellence by individuals, organizations and / or businesses in all areas of the arts. A maximum of three awards can be presented per ceremony.

“We’re looking forward to recognizing well deserving members of the arts sector and celebrating the vibrant arts and cultural landscape our city has to offer” said Nathalie Dubois, Chair of the City’s Arts & Culture Advisory Committee. “The Arts Achievement Awards provides the community with the opportunity to recognize the work of those who have helped shape our sense of place within Fredericton.”

Nominations will recognize current or recent achievements in their field. The nominations will be reviewed by a jury selected by members of the Arts Advisory Committee and the Award(s) will be presented at an awards ceremony in April.

Recipients(s) of these awards are presented a pin, created by a former NB College of Craft & Design student Joël Belliveau, as part of a collaboration project with NBCCD metal students.

The pin is inspired by the idea of community, represented as a honeycomb – as interlocking units that touch and support each other. It seeks to capture the relationship between a community that is enriched by the work of its artists, as well as artists that are enriched by the support of their community.

Deadline to apply is Friday, February 27, 2026.
