Fredericton, NB — On July 28th, members of the Fredericton Police Force (FPF) Patrols Division executed a search warrant at a southside apartment that resulted in the seizure of three firearms, ammunition, approximately 65 grams of crystal methamphetamine with a street value estimated at $6,500, and additional items related to drug activity, including a motor vehicle.
Thayer Justin Osborne, 31, of Fredericton, was arrested and charged with the following fourteen (14) offences, including:
- Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking s.5(2) CDSA
- Careless Storage of Ammunition s.86(1) CC
- Contravention of Firearms Storage Regulations s.86(2) CC x 2 counts
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose s.88(1) CC x 3 counts
- Unlawful Possession of a Firearm s.91(1)(a) CC x 2 counts
- Unlawful Possession of a Prohibited Firearm s.91(2) CC
- Possession of Firearm Knowing Possession is Unauthorized s.92(1)(a) CC x 3 counts
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited Firearm s.95(2)(a) CC
Osborne remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
This enforcement action reflects the Fredericton Police Force’s ongoing commitment to enhancing public safety.
