The Garrison Multi-Plaza project involves redeveloping the parking lot behind the library into a multi-use event space and parking lot. Key improvements include:

  • Raising the parking lot to mitigate flooding.
  • Installing new storm piping and electrical infrastructure.
  • Reducing the number of parking stalls, while reinstating bus parking stalls.

This project is set to begin in early April and be completed by early June.

  • The parking area behind the library will be closed for most of the two-month construction period.
  • Coordination with the Library and Parking Services will be required.

  • Public transit will not be affected.

  • This project will impact localized pedestrian traffic.

The upgraded space will provide improved conditions for events, including:

  • Garrison Night Market
  • Future Markets
  • Music events and other community gatherings

Additional features will include:

  • Play area
  • Water feature
  • Bike parking structure 

Flood Protection:

The parking surface will be raised, reducing disruptions caused by flooding.
