The Fredericton Police Force is pleased to announce the appointment of Bobbi Simmons-Beauchamp as Deputy Chief of Strategy and Administration, effective August 31, 2026. A member of the Fredericton Police Force since 1999, she brings nearly 30 years of policing experience, leadership, and a passion for supporting the well-being of others to the role.
Throughout her career, she has served in a wide range of frontline, investigative, supervisory, and administrative positions, including patrol, community policing, criminal investigations, professional standards, training, and operational leadership. Most recently, she served as Inspector of Integrated Community Services and Operational Support.
“Bobbi is a respected leader whose commitment to service, collaboration, and member well-being has had a lasting impact on our organization,” said Chief Gary Forward. “Her extensive experience, people-first approach, mentorship and support for others will be invaluable as we continue strengthening organizational excellence and public safety.”
Deputy Chief Simmons-Beauchamp holds a Bachelor of Arts from St. Thomas University and a Master of Counselling Psychology from Athabasca University. She has also completed several leadership and professional development programs and is a Licensed Counselling Therapist – Candidate. A strong advocate for mental health and wellness, she has championed initiatives that support the well-being and resilience of Fredericton Police Force members.
