The City of Fredericton reminds the public of the following hours of operation for Canada Day, Monday, July 1, 2024.
- City Hall and administrative offices will be closed on Monday, July 1.
- There will be no transit service on Monday, July 1, 2024.
- Regular garbage and recycling collection will occur on July 1. Routine schedules may be interrupted, so please set out containers by 7 am.
- Indoor and outdoor pools, as well as Killarney Lake beach and the Wilmot splash pad will remain open. For hours of operation and more information visit www.fredericton.ca/recreation or follow Fredericton Recreation’s social media channels.
Canada Day activities will be happening on July 1 in the Historic Garrison District, including the newly renovated Officers Square. For event details, see the Facebook page or visit www.TourismFredericton.ca and search Canada Day Celebrations.
With fireworks taking place from the Westmorland Street Bridge at 10:40 pm on July 1, the bridge will be CLOSED from 7:30 pm to approximately 12 am to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic on July 1.
Boating access to the Saint John River will also be restricted to below the Carleton Street piers or past the Small Craft Aquatic Centre from 9:00 pm to 12 am.
