A recent investigation by the Fredericton Police Force’s Integrated Enforcement Unit has resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old man and the seizure of significant quantities of illegal drugs, firearms, and cash.
On Saturday, January 31, 2026, during a traffic stop, members of the Fredericton Police Force Patrol Division arrested Dylan Edward Roy Horsman for operating a motor vehicle while impaired. During the stop, officers located and seized multiple firearms and controlled substances.
Items seized include:
• Approximately 18 grams of fentanyl
• Approximately 220 grams of cocaine
• Two ICE/methamphetamine pills
• Approximately 75 grams of psilocybin chocolate
• Approximately $4,000 in Canadian currency
• Multiple firearms, including a .22‑250 hunting rifle, a .22 calibre semi‑automatic rifle with loaded magazines, a 12‑gauge shotgun, and assorted ammunition
Dylan Horsman has been charged with the following offences:
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine (Section 5(2), CDSA)
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl (Section 5(2), CDSA)
• Operation of a Conveyance While Impaired by Drug (Section 320.14(1)(a), Criminal Code)
• Possession of Methamphetamine (Section 4(1), CDSA)
• Possession of Psilocybin (Section 4(1), CDSA)
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (Section 354(1), Criminal Code)
• Careless Use or Storage of a Firearm (Section 86(1), Criminal Code)
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (Section 91(1), Criminal Code)
• Possession of an Unauthorized Firearm (Section 92(1), Criminal Code)
• Possession of a Firearm in an Unauthorized Place (Section 94(1), Criminal Code)
• Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose (Section 88(1), Criminal Code)
This investigation highlights the ongoing efforts of the Fredericton Police Force and the Fredericton IEU to address drug trafficking, illegal firearms, and impaired driving, all of which pose serious risks to public safety.
Horsman was remanded in custody pending a future court date.
