The Fredericton Police Force proudly congratulates Sgt. Brent Legere, Cst. Andrew Simmons, and Cst. Davan Cloney, who received Silver Coin Awards at the inaugural MADD Canada New Brunswick Police Awards ceremony yesterday at Government House in Fredericton.

The awards recognize New Brunswick police officers for excellence in impaired driving enforcement: Top Performer for most drivers removed from roadways, waterways, and trails; Gold Coin (20+ drivers); Silver Coin (11-19); and Bronze or local certificates (6-10).

This honour arrives during MADD Canada’s National Impaired Driving Prevention Week (March 15–21). Impaired driving is a serious criminal offence and threat to community safety and anyone who suspects an impaired driver should call 911 or the Fredericton Police Force at 506-460-2300; anonymous tips can go to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

The Fredericton Police Force remains committed to road safety through enforcement, education, and community partnerships to reduce impaired driving and prevent injury and loss of life.

We thank the public for their ongoing support and cooperation.
