Blair Sullivan

Councillor, Ward 6 (South Devon / Barker's Point / Lower St. Mary's)

Blair Sullivan has proudly called the Fredericton area home for more than 35 years. A dedicated public servant and community advocate, Blair spent nearly three decades in the fire service, retiring in 2025 as a Platoon Captain after 29 years of frontline leadership and emergency response.

Throughout his career, Blair built a reputation for steady leadership, accountability, and advocacy. In addition to protecting the community through his work in emergency services, he represented fellow firefighters in a variety of union leadership roles and served on committees focused on pensions, collective bargaining, and workplace safety. These experiences strengthened his ability to listen, collaborate, and work toward practical solutions that benefit working families and the broader community.

Counc. Sullivan has also devoted countless hours to volunteering with local charities and community organizations, reflecting his longstanding belief in giving back and supporting neighbours in need.

As a proud resident of the City of Fredericton, Blair understands the importance of safe neighbourhoods, responsible growth, affordability, accessibility, and strong community connections. His years on the front lines gave him firsthand insight into the challenges facing Fredericton residents and reinforced the value of respectful dialogue and responsive leadership.

Counc. Sullivan was first elected to Fredericton City Council in 2026.

Blair lives in Ward 6 with his wife, Misty, and their two dogs. He remains committed to helping build a Fredericton that is safe, inclusive, financially responsible, and prepared for the future.
