An investigation by the Fredericton Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU) has resulted in the seizure of nearly 445 grams of fentanyl, along with other drugs estimated to have a street value of nearly         $94, 000.00 and the arrest of two individuals from Fredericton.

On Oct. 21, 2025, after months of gathering intelligence, police executed a search warrant and arrested 28-year-old Clayton Daigle and a 32-year-old woman, both of Fredericton.  The woman also faces trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime charges.

Daigle faces criminal charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl, possession of proceeds of crime and failure to comply with an undertaking.

Seized items include:
•    Approximately 445 grams of fentanyl
•    40 grams of cocaine
•    230 methamphetamine (ICE) pills
•    8 grams of methamphetamine
•    Cash, digital scales, and drug paraphernalia

Both individuals appeared in court and were released on a promise to appear for future court dates in December.

“The seizure of nearly half a kilogram of fentanyl in a single operation is a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to combat illicit drug trafficking in Fredericton,” said inspector of operations David Cooper of the Fredericton Police Force.  “This amount of fentanyl potentially translates to more than 220,000 street-level doses, underscoring the severe threat such quantities pose to public safety. Coupled with a street value of nearly $94,000 in seized drugs, these results highlight the effectiveness of intelligence-led policing and coordinated enforcement in keeping these deadly substances out of our community.”

The Fredericton Police Force remains committed to disrupting illegal drug activity and encourages anyone with information to contact local police.

Fredericton’s Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU) is composed of Fredericton Police Force officers, members of the New Brunswick RCMP, and Justice and Public Safety officers. The NBIEU units operate within nine municipal police forces across the province, strengthening the coordinated response to rising concerns about drugs, firearms, and organized crime in New Brunswick.
