Located on Fredericton's Northside, the Cityview non-motorized small craft boat launch offers a beautiful view of Fredericton from the Wolastoq (Saint John River). From here you can paddle upriver to explore small islands or towards the city center for views of City Hall and the Bill Thrope Walking Bridge.
Please note: This launch requires a short walk through the woods on a graded, gravel trail.
Escape into the calm and serene Nashwaak river from the Marysville Heritage Centre. Paddle down the tree-lined river as you head towards the Wolastoq (Saint John River). Enjoy swimming holes, eagle sightings, and fishing! This non-motorized boat launch is perfect for those who want to relax in nature within city limits.
Please note: This launch requires a short downhill walk on a dirt path.
For the perfect sunset paddle, head over to the Carleton Park boat launch. From this launch site you can see iconic city landmarks including the Bill Thrope Walking Bridge, the Lighthouse on the Green, and City Hall. Here you’ll find an accessible dock that makes launching your non-motorized small craft easy.

Nestled on Fredericton’s Southside, the Morell Park boat launch is minutes from downtown. Paddling down the river, you’ll experience beautiful gardens and tree covered riverbanks. Paddling upriver, you’ll find yourself in the heart of the city. Morell Park is equipped with an accessible dock that makes launching your non-motorized small craft easy.

Killarney Lake is perfect for paddlers of all levels and abilities. Complete with a Mobi Mat on the sand, and an accessible dock, getting into the water couldn’t be easier. Paddle around the lake with ease and enjoy possible wildlife sightings such as beavers, eagles and fish!
Please note: Killarney Lake has Lifeguards on duty daily from June until September from 10am-7pm. The area supervised by the lifeguards is marked by flags and buoys. If there is an emergency outside the flags, the lifeguards will do their best to help. Rec Responsibly: wear a lifejacket while paddling.
Watch the sunrise from the Wolastoq (Saint John River) by launching your non-motorized small craft at the Fredericton River Centre. It’s the best launch site for those who don’t own a kayak or canoe as there are onsite rentals through Wolastoq Adventures!
The Fredericton River Centre also offers non-motorized small craft storage from May to October. Kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards can be stored onsite in a secure, gated, and alarmed area.
Please note: This launch has a steep gravel path to the river, which leads to a dock.
