Canada Day Celebrations

You’re invited to celebrate Canada Day in Fredericton Saturday, July 1st!

Come out and celebrate Canada Day in Downtown Fredericton with a full day of music and family-themed activities on Saturday, July 1st. The day’s festivities will be capped off with it’s largest-ever fireworks display, staged from the Westmorland Street Bridge.

Canada Day events will take place in Barracks Square and on Carleton Street, with entertainment on the main stage from noon until the fireworks at 10:30pm.

Riley Taylor, Burton's own rising star with several hits across Canadian Country Music charts, is the headline performer along with a Francophone performance, a Multicultural showcase hosted by the Multicultural Association of Fredericton, and other entertainment, including Frantically Atlantic, Scotty and the Stars and the Calithumpians.

The opening ceremony kicks off at 2pm with the singing of “O Canada” followed by Canada Day birthday cake!

Kids can enjoy free bouncy castles, a Canada Day Trivia challenge, face painters, magicians, food vendors and more!

In the spirit of reconciliation, Canada Day is an opportunity to understand the past and present experiences of the Indigenous Peoples in Canada. The City of Fredericton works actively with Sitansisk (St. Mary’s First Nation) to provide culturally relevant, equitable and accessible services to Indigenous Peoples.
