Fredericton Police Force Expands Jurisdiction to Annexed Areas
Effective December 2, 2025, the Fredericton Police Force will officially become the police of jurisdiction for the recently annexed areas of the City of Fredericton.
The change comes after Fredericton’s recent boundary expansion as a result of Local Governance Reform and aims to provide uniform public safety services for all residents.
The new areas include Pepper Creek, Douglas, McLeod Hill, Killarney Road and the Capital Region Landfill on the city’s south side.
Residents and businesses within these communities will now receive a full range of policing services from the Fredericton Police Force, including emergency response, patrols, investigations, and community policing support.
