La Ville de Fredericton est fière d’annoncer qu'en 2024, elle a pu offrir des billets d’autobus aller simple ainsi que des billets pour son service d’autobus à la demande (Transport adapté) à 38 organismes ou programmes communautaires. Le programme est coordonné par Greater Fredericton Social Innovation. Les billets ont été distribués en fonction de la disponibilité et selon les besoins cernés par les organismes.
Ce programme est conçu pour offrir plus de soutien aux organismes communautaires qui aident leurs clients de différentes façons : aller chez le médecin, avoir accès à l’éducation et à la formation, chercher un emploi ou aller chez un fournisseur de services. Dans le cadre du programme, ces organismes peuvent demander à recevoir des billets d’autobus aller simple et aussi pour le service à la demande Transport adapté afin de les remettre à leurs clients.
Cette année, 11 040 billets ont été distribués à 38 organisations de Fredericton afin d'offrir un accès gratuit aux transports. Les organismes qui bénéficieront du programme en 2026 sont les suivants:
